One of Uganda’s popular showbiz events Roast & Rhyme has been postponed. The event that was scheduled to take place today 23rd Feb 2025 at Jahazi pier Munyonyo has been canceled due to unforeseen circumstances according to the organizers, Swangz Avenue. The event has been facing challenges over the past years with some of the event revelers crying for hikes in ticket prices and poor service delivery at the event.
However, our sources have confirmed that following the withdraw of big sponsors like Uganda Breweries Limited under their brand “BELL”, the event organizers couldn’t meet their expenses and break even. This now pushes the organisers to source for more alternative sources of funding. Several events have gone through the same challenges with some at the verge of total collapse, Blankets and wines is a better example of this.
