It is a day that no one will ever forget – the visit of Volodymyr Zelensky, President of Ukraine to the White House on 28th February 2025. The plan was for Zelensky to sign a deal with the US, leading to the development of Ukraine’s valuable minerals so that the US can recoup the funds which Zelensky used to fight against Russia. Because of the outburst of Zelensky, he was asked to leave the White House without signing! Man, that’s equivalent to being chased like a chicken thief! But, let me tell you a story, because these days, always having a mediator is very important.
One evening, I went to a suspicious bar with two close friends, Jimmy and Ogen. Prior to that, we bar hopped and eventually realised that our meagre resources were being depleted by these expensive drinks. At one bar, a beer would’ve bought you a crate of the same, moreover from a supply depot! I was like, do they see the Nigerian businessman and philanthropist, Aliko Dangote in every person?
Since we were relatively charged, we went to one bar in a downtown area and bid farewell the main city centre. One friend knew the bartender and I can assure you; she was not one worth giving a second look. But, at least the various colours of drinks and crude single distilled spirits were quite cheap, from one called Danger to another called one Kill Me Quick!
As we were drinking, the bartender suddenly became the most beautiful creature we had ever seen! Then the scramble for her resources started, it was now all about who had the most influence – pocket wise! The situation eventually escalated into a fight, with the bartender standing there waiting for the winner to whisk her into the night. I moved swiftly and separated my friends, after which dialogue commenced. I reminded them that they are good friends with wives and therefore, should cease hostilities which they did. So, in this world, its important to mediate between two (02) warring parties for the sake of peace. There shall always be misunderstandings, but every problem has a solution.
