President Museveni launched his exceptional manifesto on September 29th, 2025, whose main focuses are peace and security, infrastructure development, wealth creation, job creation, service delivery, market access, unity and political stability, and finally, protecting the gains. The incumbent president kicked off his campaign on September 30, 2025, in Luwero and followed up with rallies in the Lango region from October 1, 2025, and now in Northern Uganda and West Nile, where he has been welcomed with overwhelming love, cheers, packed stadiums, traditional ceremonial welcomes, and visible gifts from supporters.

Northern Uganda and the West Nile sub-region have greeted President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni with visible warmth and energetic turnout during his campaign stops, showing a mix of cheering crowds, symbolic gestures of gratitude, and active dialogue about development priorities and local concerns compared to other presidential candidates.

The large, well-attended rallies marked Museveni’s entry into West Nile and other northern districts, with thousands filling public grounds and town canters to hear his messages of peace, unity, and wealth creation, which has always been his emphasis. The scale and intensity of these gatherings reflect both organized party mobilization and genuine local interest and love for the National Resistance Movement party.

President Museveni has been warmly welcomed by party supporters, and local leaders presented gifts and followed customary welcoming protocols, signalling respect and appreciation for the President’s good leadership and for long-standing ties between the NRM and communities in the region. Emphasis on ending poverty, unity and development.

A recurring theme in President Museveni’s northern engagements is the presentation of concrete development achievements and plans—especially investments in energy and infrastructure such as transmission lines and electrification that aim to spur industrialization and service delivery across the region—which local audiences frequently referenced with approval.

The youth and community groups have used this opportunity to raise pressing local issues, including land disputes, fisheries management, unemployment, and road and health infrastructure needs, which the president gladly listened to and pledged to resolve land disputes through dialogue and strengthened land institutions, tighten fisheries management and enforcement, provide start-up and graduate funds to reduce youth unemployment, and upgrade roads and health facilities by constructing and renovating key routes and hospitals across Northern Uganda and West Nile.

In conclusion:

President Museveni’s campaign receptions across Northern Uganda and West Nile combined high-energy public turnout, ceremonial warmth, and substantive discussions about development priorities and grievances, producing a mix of celebratory welcome and pragmatic community engagement that has characterized his visits to the region.
