The minister of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities, Hon Tom Butiime, has appointed Dr James Musinguzi as the new Executive director of Uganda Wildlife Authority.
He will replace Mr Sam Mwandha, who is set to retire in March 2025 after serving for nearly eight years as the director.
Dr James Musinguzi who hails from Kyegegwa district joined UWA in 2006 as an educational officer and he has risen through the ranks of the organisation.
He has served in various capacities as the director of the Uganda Wildlife Conservation Education Centre, Director of community conservation, and Ex-situ wildlife services.
